d. Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning
Reflections: Standard III requires that teachers utilize technology in a relevant and accurate manner to demonstrate professionalism within the digital world. Furthermore it allows teachers to model successful and appropriate utilization of technology to students and provide them with priceless learning experiences that can be transferred beyond school. The experience in building the course website is the ultimate of all learning experiences within this course. It is the culmination of learning how to deliver instruction via the use of MANY technological tools that ensure student engagement, creativity, collaboration and learning. Furthermore, the course website provides access to not only students, but to parents of students also. This ensures there is no question in regard to what the student is to be working on. If there is a question regarding the learning material, parents and students can communicate with the teacher through the website. Another project that represents accurate utilization of technology is the lesson plan that was created earlier in the course. It shows the various types of technology that will be utilized within the course of instruction. The Scoop.it project allows teachers to provide relevant information and further study materials to students. It also shows the teacher's ability to link appropriate content for classroom instruction and learning through the use of this tool.

Future learning goals: My goal for the future in my teaching career is to create a course website form class. I believe that it is an excellent way to put everything in one place for students, parents and colleagues to access. It will be a bit of a challenge to get it put together initially but over time I will accomplish this and implement it within my science classes. I have really enjoyed learning how to use these technological tools and I intend on maintaining this knowledge with continuing education and seminars.
